The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is considered to be the foremost international accreditation for MBA programmes and represents the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. AMBA accreditation is recognised by students, higher education institutions, graduates and employers as the global hallmark of quality. In short,  accreditation by the Association of MBAs identifies programmes that are pre-eminent.

Improve your interaction with Asia

Asia accounts for much of the growth of the world economy, and many western companies are turning their interest to this part of the world. China and India have emerged as two of the most important “power hubs” of the world economy. This is why our programme includes two separate one-week residencies at our partner Universities: Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, Antai College at Jiaotong University, Shanghai and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, India. You will benefit from obtaining a deeper understanding of the business and cultural behaviour required to interact successfully with China, India and other emerging markets.

Study at a renowned university

The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg is famous for its corporate relations and its international outlook. We do not only study established firms but also look into innovation and entrepreneurship. Our Executive Education programmes help companies accelerate change, develop new capabilities and seize new opportunities. We deliver programmes across four continents and have offered our Executive MBA programme since 1977. Our Executive MBA programme undergoes steady renewal to prepare business leaders for future challenges.

Meet international thought leaders

We deliver our Executive MBA programme in English with a broad international faculty. Inspiring lecturers from our partner universities bring their insights on all the different facets of management to our participants. The School itself has a total of 250 researchers, which many of them focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. Every year, some 40 visiting professors conduct research and teach at our School.

Learn while working

Our Executive MBA participants are in demanding positions in both the public and the private sectors. You expect the learning process to be adapted to your needs – and so it is. Thursday to Saturday classroom sessions at the School’s modern, bright premises in the very centre of Gothenburg will take place at intervals of three weeks. The direct personal interaction in the classroom and in study groups is critical to the learning experience. To further facilitate the balance between career and studies, we actively use a virtual learning environment as a complementary way for you to interact.

Grow your personal network

Devoting 21 intense months to the programme will help you create highly valuable personal and business networks. You will also become part of a distinguished Executive MBA alumni network. From experience, we know the power of peer-to-peer learning. This is why we emphasise sharing of experiences between participants. The programme should be regarded as a safe environment, a journey with experienced fellow participants, where trustful personal relations that are built have the potential to become a source of lifelong reward.

Celebrate your master degree

Successful completion of the Executive MBA programme will award you an academic degree: Master (60 Credits) of Business Administration, issued by the University of Gothenburg. The programme is completed by a graduation ceremony for you, your sponsoring organisation and your closest family members.
