Anna Bjelm, Gothenburg Executive MBA Graduate 2014, wins Lean Leader Award

Anna Bjelm, Site Manager at Saba Dole and Gothenburg Executive MBA Graduate 2014, is this year’s winner of the Lean Leader Award. The award, shared with Henrik Nyström, Assembly Manager at Atlas Copco, was announced at the Lean Forum conference 2015.

Both Anna Bjelm and Henrik Nyström received the award for their accomplishments and for being “very good examples of inspiring lean leaders”. According to Lean Forum, they have both contributed to developing fantastic businesses by wholeheartedly investing in their employees.

– This would never have happened without me taking part in the Executive MBA programme, says Anna Bjelm. The Management Accounting module in particular, led by Ingemar Claesson, was truly inspiring, and encouraged me to start using concepts such as balanced scorecards and strategic maps. The Executive MBA programme as a whole has contributed to a substantial improvement of our daily operations at Saba Dole, says Anna Bjelm.

– I really think that the Lean philosophy is a fantastic way to successfully run a business. Now, having received this award, I want to inspire other Executive MBA participants and Executive MBA alumni to work actively with Lean, Anna Bjelm concludes.
