Experience to build on. Perspective to grow with.

As the world changes, leadership must evolve too. GU Executive Education is now taking the next step in the development of the Executive MBA at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. Mirjam Bauhr is welcomed as the new head of the program’s development, marketing, and sales, taking over from Håkan Ericson, who is now retiring.

Today’s world places ever greater demands on organizations’ ability to renew themselves. In such a world, it is not always enough to know more of what one already knows. For leaders, the need to understand new connections and translate insights into action is therefore growing. This is one of the starting points as GU Executive Education now further develops the Executive MBA at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Mirjam Bauhr leads a development group that will take the program forward in close dialogue with companies and organizations. The ambition is to build on the program’s academic quality and long-standing experience, while developing the education to meet the new needs of today’s and tomorrow’s leaders.

A valuable legacy to build on

As GU Executive Education looks to the future, there is good reason to recognize the experience the organization has built up over the years.

Håkan Ericson previously handed over the role of CEO of GU Executive Education to Henrik Schröder and subsequently continued with responsibility for the Executive MBA. He has now also handed over the program’s development, marketing, and sales to Mirjam Bauhr and is retiring.
– The most rewarding part has been meeting people who want to keep developing and seeing how new knowledge and perspectives make a difference in their organizations. I am handing over with great confidence and look forward to following how Henrik, Mirjam, and the entire team continue to develop GU Executive Education, says Håkan Ericson.

We extend a warm thank you to Håkan for his commitment, experience, and valuable contributions to GU Executive Education, and wish him all the best in the next chapter.

At the same time, we warmly welcome Mirjam and look forward to developing new learning opportunities together with companies, organizations, and academia.

Would you like to contribute to the development of future leadership education?

We welcome dialogue with companies and organizations who want to share their perspectives on the future of leadership, skills needs, and lifelong learning.
