About us

Knowledge that strengthens leadership and decision-making.

GU Executive Education brings together the University of Gothenburg’s expertise for leaders and organisations, with the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg as our primary academic home.

Academic rigour and practical relevance.

We develop leaders, specialists and organisations through research-based education that combines academic rigour, practical relevance and the exchange of experience among seasoned participants. Our aim is to provide new perspectives that participants can apply directly in their own organisations—to understand key societal and business issues, see new connections and make better decisions in a changing world.

Knowledge that strengthens leadership and decision-making.

Today’s leaders operate in a world where technology, geopolitics, sustainability, security, talent supply and new business models are changing the playing field. It is no longer enough simply to keep up with developments. Leaders need to be able to interpret them, set priorities within them and make decisions when the answers are not clear-cut.

That is where GU Executive Education contributes.

We bring together researchers, business leaders, experts and participants from different industries and contexts. Together, we create education where academic rigour meets practical relevance, and where participants’ own experience becomes an important part of the learning.

Our offerings.

We offer open programmes for leaders and specialists who want to develop alongside other experienced participants, an Executive MBA for leaders with the ambition to take the next step, and tailored programmes for organisations that want to strengthen their strategic capability, leadership or capacity for change.

What our offerings have in common is that they are grounded in real challenges. The content is research-based, but always with a clear link to decision-making, leadership and organisational impact.

How we work.

We believe in education that, beyond transferring knowledge, also creates perspective. That is why we combine academic insights with dialogue, reflection, cases, the exchange of experience and networking among participants.

In our programmes, leaders and specialists from different sectors, industries and organisations come together. This creates new connections, new questions and new insights. The aim is for participants to gain perspectives they can apply directly in their own organisations, in their leadership and in the decisions they face.

Many of our participants highlight the opportunity to meet other experienced leaders as one of the most valuable parts of the programme.

Part of the University of Gothenburg.

GU Executive Education operates in close collaboration with the University of Gothenburg, with the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg as our primary academic home.

This gives us access to current research, academic expertise and a broad network of researchers, lecturers and knowledge environments. At the same time, we work closely with our clients and participants to understand which issues are most relevant for leaders and organisations right now.

In this way, we can develop education that is both intellectually sharp and practically useful.

For leaders who want to think further ahead.

We are here for leaders and organisations that want more than to react to change—for those who want to understand what is happening, see new opportunities and make wiser decisions for the future.

Welcome to GU Executive Education.
