The Management Control II programme creates an understanding of how analysis of financial statements can form the basis for different decisions. Examples of internal decisions are performance assessment and/or profitability monitoring, examples of external decisions are to assess companies’ financial stability and/or ability to pay.

The programme also provides knowledge of the relationships between a company’s financing and its growth ambitions as well as possible expectations of profitability.

Additionally, the participants gain an increased understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the design and use of control systems and how these can support the realization of a business’s strategies. A broader perspective on governance is taken, based on established theoretical frameworks that support the ability to identify and discuss different policy instruments.

Current research is combined with practice to build up the participants’ ability to analyse their business governance and develop it in the desired direction.
