Executive MBA programme
Develop your capabilities to manage strategic and operational realities.
You are cordially invited to the Executive MBA Alumni Event hosted by GU School of Executive Education on Regional Challenges – How West Sweden can develop.
Competition for competence and investments no longer occurs between countries but rather between regions as national borders play a diminishing role in a global context. Regions instead seek to leverage their competitiveness by geographic proximity and by industry and competence clusters. In terms of geographic proximity, West Sweden holds an ideal position between Oslo and Copenhagen. However, more competence is needed in the region in order for West Sweden to remain competitive on a global arena and attract investments to spur future growth.
Johan Trouvé, CEO of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce since 2009, will speak about the challenge of – and vison for – attracting competence and investments to West Sweden in order to further strengthen the region. He will highlight a number of investments that are needed to not only knit parts of the region closer together but also to increase the competence level in the region’s companies.
Johan Trouvé holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management from Linköping University and has national and international experience in the fields of management, politics, communication, transportation, infrastructure and sustainable development.
The West Sweden Chamber of Commerce is a private, politically-neutral organisation working to strengthen the region’s business community. The Chamber works to create growth and develop the future of West Sweden by helping companies do more and better business and by influencing political decisions. Its efforts have regional focus as economic growth is primarily affected by regional conditions before municipal and national ones.
Don’t miss this opportunity to understand how the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce works to attract competence and investments to West Sweden. There will also be opportunities for networking with fellow Executive MBA alumni and current participants.
