Alumni event with Cecilia Malmström

January 21, invited alumni and participants of the Gothenburg Executive MBA programme had the privilege of participating to a digital fireside chat with Sweden’s former EU Trade Commissioner Dr. Cecilia Malmström. She is the current holder of The Assar Gabrielsson visiting professorship at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

The topic on the agenda was the state of global trade, in the wake of the US election and the corona crisis. Cecilia Malmström opened the session with an initiated geopolitical overview of opportunities and threats related to global trade, after which participants were invited to bring up questions of importance to themselves and to their companies. There was plenty of dialogue and interaction.

At GU Executive Education, we were pleased to provide this platform for direct interaction with Cecilia Malmström. Just like our participants, we appreciated her deep knowledge and her generosity to share it in this our first fireside chat. More of these alumni events will follow!
